This morning when I went for my morning walk/jog, I took a different route from my usual one to increase the distance I am doing. And on the way, I saw different trees and plants in bloom, and one of such trees was this.
Since I had my phone with me for my music, I decided to take a picture, and I started thinking about the intricacies of each plant and flower.
And I was thinking, God designed all these- when He created the earth and all the things in it, He must have thought about the different colors, the sizes, the textures, when they would bloom, what kind of fruit they will bear, and all that!
For sure everything looked different- how could they be so unique in their appearance, in their colors, even their smells, unless Someone with such attention to intricate details designed them?
And as I was thinking those thoughts, I was filled with joy and awe. I was thinking, God designed all of these, so that these flowers, and other things He created, can give Him glory as they bloom!
How can they give glory to God when they cannot speak? Well, when people like me pass them by and admire them and think, how beautiful is the creation of God, don't they give glory to God in their own way?
As I passed more flowers, I became even bolder to take more pictures, thinking about writing this article. As with all of God's creation, everything is unique. He has given us our unique characteristics, traits, appearance, and though we may have similarities sometimes, we still have that distinctiveness, making each one of us special.
I sing because He sent His Son to die in my place. I sing because He is faithful. I sing because of His mercy. I cannot list all the reasons I sing, but I sing because my heart is filled with joy every time I think about those things, and nothing can stop me singing His praise. What makes you sing?
In fact, as I am writing this, I am reminded of Chris Tomlin's song that goes like this:
How can I keep from singing Your praise
How can I ever say enough
How amazing is Your love
How can I keep from shouting Your name
I know I am loved by the King
And it makes my heart want to sing
If you just open your eyes and take time to look around, you can also find joy in the things you see. And perhaps, like me, a song will rise in your heart, and you will also start singing. Have a great week!
