My first visit to South Korea was spring time 2013. I went with my sister and some other people and it was be-a-u-ti-ful! I knew I had to go back, so the second time was in 2015 with a friend, and this time it was in autumn. Oh, the colors! The food! And not to mention the vast array of beauty products available in Myeongdong! I am going for a third time this year, this time with my older sister and two nieces.
There is no doubt that K-drama and K-pop is very popular these days, not just here in the Philippines but all over the world. That has made South Korea a favorite tourist destination.
So, if you're planning to go there, this is for you. Read on and happy travels!

Note that for visitors who are planning on staying there for less than 59 days, the visa itself is free of charge, but since the application process is now course through travel agencies, the agencies charge a processing fee anywhere between PHP500 - PHP1500.
Step 4. PRAY THAT YOUR VISA GETS APPROVED
Once you’ve submitted your application, there’s little else to do but wait and pray for the best. What I do personally is that long before I even submit all the requirements, I'd have been praying that it gets approved already. :-)FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)
How much do I need to have in my bank account to be granted a visa?
There’s no official amount. People have said at least PHP 50,000 but there’s no confirmation on this. People have mentioned that they’ve been approved with less. Some have been rejected with more.
Your application is considered on many factors so there’s no amount that can guarantee approval. As long as your application doesn’t raise any red flags and you have enough money to support yourself for the duration of your stay, then you should have a good chance of getting approved. Having a regular paying job helps, because that means that you receive a monthly salary, hence you have the means to pay for the trip.
How early can I apply for a visa?
You can enter Korea at any time within the next 3 months (90 days) of the issue date. So if your visa is issued on July 1, you can enter anytime before October 1.
That means you can apply as early as 3 months before your departure date.

No, you don’t. Confirmed flight and hotel bookings are not required. On the application form, you can just put down the contact details of the hotel you intend to stay at. It doesn’t have to be a finalized booking. You can always change after you’ve been granted a visa.
