Holiday Inn Baguio City Center

Hello again! A couple of weeks ago I went to Baguio to celebrate my birthday and we stayed at the Holiday Inn Baguio City Center. It was a nice stay, so I would like to share this hotel with you so you will have a choice of accommodation when you go there as well.

This hotel is quite new, as it only opened in July of last year. The staff are super helpful and very accommodating to their guests. It is located along Legarda St., so the city center is within walking distance.

We arrived in Baguio City very early in the morning, so what we did was we just went to the hotel to drop our bags and checked in later in the afternoon, and we went to see the sunrise at Mines View Park. We were given a room with two double beds, which can accommodate up to four people.

This is the shower area. What was funny was the shower area did not have a door to keep the water from getting splattered on the toilet area. Not sure if that was intentional, I forgot to check my brother's room. :-) They had ample supply of hot water so you don't have to worry about taking a shower in freezing water.

Me and my sister had a bed each so we were very comfortable. Regular rate per night is around PHP4000, so if there are four of you sharing, then it is very affordable.

This is the hallway in our room, and of course there was a TV, and  a small center table for coffee  as well. There was ample space for storage, and bathrobes, slippers were provided, as is typical of all hotels.

The sink area. Basic toiletries were provided as well, like shampoo, lotion, toothbrush and the likes. Hair dryer as present, which is very important when you wash your hair as you don't want to go out in the cold with hair.

Towels were also provided, and as you can see, the whole area is very tidy.

This is the lobby very early in the morning. We arrived there around half past five in the morning. The staff were very courteous and helpful in providing information that I needed.

Our room was on the fourth floor, and this is the lobby at the elevator area.

This is the hallway going to our rooms. What I liked about this is that the lights have sensors. They turn on only when they sense someone is passing, that way, energy is conserved.

A few minutes after checking in, the front desk called me they left me a little something in my brother's room. When I went to check it, it was a slice of strawberry cake, to celebrate my birthday. That was very sweet of them!

This is the hotel's restaurant, the Lamisaan Bar. We had buffet breakfast on our last day and the food was great. We ate our fill, and there was quite an array of choices, from international to local foods.

You can see our food laden plates. There were quite a lot of people having breakfast like us.

As with other Holiday Inn hotels, they sell their own products at one area. Breads, some sauces like pesto, basil and others, some pasta, and other things.

The restaurant was very spacious, big enough to hold a couple of hundred people, if I may guess. And I have to say, the food was quite good.

Here is my sister posing in front of the hotel. There is also parking area for cars, which is on a first come, first serve basis. There were a lot of areas I did not take pictures of, but if you want comfort, and a centrally located place to stay, this hotel is definitely one to consider. You can check their rates here.
