The InterContinental Hotel Kuala Lumpur

Hi there! Selamat datang to Malaysia! Yes, this hotel feature is all about the InterContinental Hotel Kuala Lumpur in the capital of Malaysia.

We three sisters traveled to Malaysia together in 2015, and as you can see, we stayed at this very swanky hotel in the middle of the city.

The hotel is strategically located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, with a lot of shopping and entertainment choices. It is accessible by car, by train and by bus from the KL International Airport. For us, we took the bus from the airport to KL Sentral railway station, and from there took the train all the way to the hotel. The nearest train station is Ampang Park station, which is less than 5 minutes walk, so very accessible.

The iconic Petronas Towers and the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre is a mere 5 minutes walk, so you can enjoy picture taking or splurge in your shopping at the KLCC, or feast in one of the numerous restaurants there.

Let me take you to the lobby. It was my older sister's first time in Malaysia so she took loads and loads of pictures, so she's gonna be my model, ha ha.

This hotel has a lot of friendly Filipino staff, and they made us feel very welcome all throughout our stay. The hotel also offers free internet access all throughout, so you can stay connected to the rest of the world while in the premises.

While we were there, we were visited by one of our nieces who works for a courier company. The lobby sure looks grand, and there are several seating areas just like the one in Hanoi.

Look at the huge chandelier hanging. It looks like a grand ballroom, instead of the lobby of a hotel. Standing there would seem like you are going to a fancy ball or something. :-)

Here is a collated picture of the lobby, and looking at these pictures reminds me of when I was slimmer. Those were the days, ha ha.

We sure took lots of pictures at the lobby. :-) And who wouldn't, if it looks as grand as this?

This was our room. We had 2 double beds, but unfortunately, I did not take a picture.

My older sister posed a lot, this time showing a 'roti boy' a coffee flavored pastry that is oh so good! This pastry is very popular all over Malaysia.

This is the pool area. We came down to take pictures one day before going out exploring.

Good thing my sister asked to have her picture taken almost everywhere. :-)

The whole area is very spacious, but there were not a lot of people enjoying it. Perhaps because it was a weekday, and it was not a busy season at the hotel.

We had the place to ourselves so we just took pictures literally everywhere in the area! We probably asked one of the staff to take a picture of us.

My older sister is  not a very good swimmer but she just had to enjoy the pool.

Isn't it very sad that there was no one but my sister to enjoy this beautiful place?

I did not bring my swimsuit this time, so I could not enjoy the pool, sigh.

At least we got to take lots of photos, so that's consolation enough.

Next time I go, I will definitely have it with me. It would be a shame not to.

Ah, we finally had company after a while. A couple is seen emerging in the distance.

This was the beautiful InterContinental Kuala Lumpur. If you want to stay at this place, your money and time will be worth it. You can check their rates here.
